Recommended Colorado Event: Pumpkin Carving Party and the Jack-O-Lantern Trail Walk (Fountain, Colorado).

The Fountain Creek Nature Center is hosting its annual pumpkin carving party and trail walk on Saturday, October 26th. The carving will be from 9am-12pm, with the pumpkins lit up on the trail from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

If you've read this far, I'm going to share a secret with you. I usually show up to the Fountain Creek Nature Center at sunrise the morning after this event. Then, I can go on a leisurely hike with no crowds...taking pictures of all the pumpkins that were carved the night before. That's how I got the pictures for this post.
