Dangerous Colorado Roads: Skyline Drive (Canon City, Colorado)

Skyline Drive, built by local inmates in 1905, is considered one of the most dangerous roads/scariest roads in Colorado. Perched above Canon City, it is a narrow, single-lane adventure. For almost 3 miles, you will experience breathtaking views...on both sides.

Along the way, you can stop to see dinosaur footprints or take a hiking trail located near the top. Sunset and at dark are primo deluxe times to experience Skyline Drive.

If you go during the day, you might spot the historic St. Scholastica School property way down below...built in 1881. Skyline Drive is a Canon City must-do!
